MIR JONES GOES TO LONDON (Part -2)

The doctor knew that he should phone Jones' doctor in Bristol. But that would take time and the doctor was extremely busy. He had very many patients to see that night. He quickly wrote out a prescription and gave it to Jones.

This was what Jones was hoping the doctor would do. He knew that the doctors in central London were always very busy. That's why Jones had come to London.

Jones looked at the prescription. It was what he wanted. It was a prescription for morphine.
Jones knew that there was a chemist's in Piccadilly that was open all night. It was one of the busiest chemist's shops in Britain.

Jones had to wait a long time before he was served. Lots of people were getting medicine with prescriptions. But Jones was not worried.
There were so many people in the chemist's shop that no one would remember him.

After forty minutes, Mr Jones walked out of the chemist's. He now had all the morphine he needed. It was more than enough for Miss Nancy Roberts. She would die soon.
